Cache Valley, Utah, is an amazing getaway location, whether you are looking for outdoor adventure or indoor comforts. During autumn, when the leaves fall and school is back in session, it becomes the perfect weekend trip. Because there are so many things to to do, we've created this list with some of the best things you can do this fall in Northern Utah.
1. Take a drive through Logan Canyon
Deemed a National Scenic Byway, Logan Canyon becomes even more breathtaking as fall colors overwhelm the sharp mountain cliffs and rivers. The canyon is perfect for Instagram, so make sure to bring a camera or phone. You can enjoy the full 40-minute drive to Bear Lake, or take a short 15-minute drive. Either way, you won't regret it!
2. Go on a ghost tour
Each weekend in October, the Logan Downtown Alliance hosts ghost tours that allow you to learn about Historic Logan Downtown's history while getting into the Halloween spirit. As you visit historic sites throughout Logan's city center, members of the Bridgerland Storytelling Guild will explain the stories behind the iconic locations. 3. Navigate a corn maze
There isn't anything quite like the feeling of crisp fall air while getting lost in acres of dying plants. Luckily, Cache Valley has a couple options for those looking to wind their way through a corn maze: the American West Heritage Center and Little Bear Bottoms. For those inclined to seek out the spooky, both locations also have haunted attractions. Check out their schedules to find the time that works best for you!
4. Eat at a local restaurant

6. Go to a USU football game
Aggies all the way! Feel the energy of "The Hurd," USU's raucous student section, as the Utah State football team takes on opponents in the Mountain West Conference and beyond. If you haven't learned the movements for fan-favorite song "The Scotsman" by the end of the game, you haven't done it right.

Cache Valley has no shortage of trails, and these trails become even more beautiful when fall colors arrive. Those looking for an easy walk or a day-long trek can find exactly what they're looking for.

8. Go on a shopping spree
Is it time for a new wardrobe? Maybe you're looking for a new bike? You're in luck! With Logan's vibrant downtown and other local shops around Cache Valley, there are plenty of places to treat yourself.

9. Go to the North Logan Pumpkin Walk
A tradition since 1983, the community comes together every year to create awe-inspiring displays and intricately-carved pumpkins at the North Logan Pumpkin Walk. Admission is free and is perfect for the whole family. More information can be found here.
10. Grab a treat from a Cache Valley favorite
After a busy day hiking, shopping, or seeing a show, it's the perfect time to grab some dessert. Cache Valley has multiple great options for treats. Here are a few of our favorites:
