New Horizons Orchestra Holiday Concert
Dec 7, 2015 at 6PM
Carousel Ballroom, Bullen Center
43 South Main, Logan, UT
The Cache Valley New Horizons Orchestra (CVNHO) welcomes the public to celebrate this beautiful holiday season at their performance tonight, December 7th, in the Bullen Center’s Carousel Ballroom at 6:00pm.
CVNHO was formed in September of 2014. Co-sponsored by Cache Valley Center for the Arts and the USU Music Department, CVNHO is one of many in the New Horizons Orchestra international organization of adult string players. The group is led by veteran teachers Patty Bartholomew and Janice McAllister and assisted by USU Music student Taylor Clark. Orchestra members David Ebert, Kathryn Burtenshaw, and Shelley Commandant will also sing with accompaniment by their fellow orchestra members.
Cache Valley New Horizons Orchestra provides adults in our community with the opportunity to learn how to play a string instrument in an orchestral setting. Orchestra members’ musical backgrounds vary. Some have no previous musical experience while others may have played many years ago and have not touched their instrument in quite some time. Regardless of their backgrounds, orchestra members receive a quality music education and experience the benefits of being part of a close musical community. New members (experienced, re-entry and beginners) are always welcome to join! More information about joining can be found at s623896627.onlinehome.us/Cache-Valley-New-Horizons-Orchestra/
