Art Camp 2017
Summer Art Camp is a great way to introduce your child to the world of art.  The camp is designed to help kids ages 5-11 experience several different art experiences in a creative and interactive atmosphere.  Children will explore Art, Ceramics, Cooking, Drama, Dance, and Music.  Classes sell out quickly so reserve your spot early!
Camp 1: June 19 - 29

Time Choices: 9AM-12PM or 1-4PM

Location: Bullen Arts Center 43 S Main, Logan

Parent Preview: Thursday, June 29 at 11AM or 3PM in the Carousel Ballroom (2nd floor) of the Bullen Center.

Camp 2: July 10 - 20
Time Choices: 9AM-12PM or 1-4PM

Location: Bullen Arts Center 43 S Main, Logan

Parent Preview: Thursday, July 20 at 11AM or 3PM in the Carousel Ballroom (2nd floor) of the Bullen Center.

Camp 3: July 31 - August 10
Time Choices: 9AM-12PM or 1-4PM

Cost for each camp: $90 per child

Camps run from Monday – Thursday for two weeks with the choice of a morning session (9am-12pm) or an afternoon session (1-4pm).

At registration, you will be asked to list the t-shirt size, grouping requests, and any food allergies of the enrollee(s).  Please keep your phone and email up to date in case we need to contact you.

What will students learn at Art Camp?

Art Camp will introduce children to some fundamental principles of the art forms they will experience.  For example –

  • Cooking: measuring correctly, kitchen/cooking techniques, and using recipes.
  • Dance:  Gaga movement language which uses imagery to stimulate and discover movement within the body.
  • Drama: self confidence in physical, facial, and vocal expression using creative drama tools and techniques to communicate ideas and stories to others.
  • Ceramics: student’s will explore textures of clay through two ancient forms of ceramics – coil and pinch pots.  Students will learn what makes up clay, clay construction techniques, and how clay becomes solid through the firing process. Finally, each student will transform their imaginations into a clay masterpiece.
  • Art: variety of media application techniques, patterns, texture, shading, color choice.

Where do I drop off and pick up my child?

Drop-off and pick-up will be at the south entrance of the Bullen Center at 35 W 100 S in Logan. 

Can I enroll my child in both morning and afternoon sessions?
No.  The morning and afternoon sessions are exactly the same.  However, you are welcome to enroll them in one session each of camps 1, 2, and 3.
Can my child bring personal items to camp?
The children will be actively learning.  Personal items should be left at home.  Please call 435-554-7065 if you would like to request an exception.
How many kids are in a class?
Camp enrollment is limited to 45 students which are divided into three groups of 10-15 students, roughly based on age.
How do I get my child grouped with family or friends?
You will be asked if you have any grouping request during registration.  If you missed that opportunity, you need to email rhoth@cachearts.org as soon as possible and no later than one week before the camp starts.  Changes cannot be made during check-in.  If possible, coordinate plans with friends/family in advance of registration.
